The CSSO is designed to provide all trainees with an awareness of hazards they may encounter on the job site. The CSSO designation can be earned by successfully completing NCCER’s Basic Safety module (00101). OSHA 500 Certified Instructors may provide OSHA 10-hour cards to students who successfully complete this program.
The CSSS is designed for the project personnel responsible for safety on the job site, and specifically to provide field managers the expertise to understand safety to a high degree. The trainee must complete the entire Field Safety curriculum and either 11 modules from the Safety Technology 1st Edition curriculum or five modules from the Safety Technology 2nd Edition curriculum for this credential.
